I’ve never read a graphic novel before so I was interested to see how it tells the story. I thought the drawings were very vivid.
In this excerpt Emsy’s parents spring huge news on her: their family is moving. A friend’s family was involved in an “incident” and only the teenage son is still alive.
Emsy’s parents tell her that they need to all go back to the safety of their coven.
Emsy doesn’t want to move. She has a girlfriend she loves and best friends where she is.
This excerpt leaves off right as Emsy’s family arrives at their new home.
Well, I can definitely see now that a graphic novel can tell a story without a ton of words.
