I vividly remember when she won Miss America. But her story involves so much more--faith, family, perserverance! Love how her Mother and husband played such important roles her life. I knew she became a vet but did not know/realize all the involvement in projects as a result of this--things I would not even have thought about. While reading, you become right there with her and things of events in your life which relate to what she is saying. Great book for young girls/women to read and know they can accomplish so many things and joys in their lives and to go for those achievements that others may tell them than cannot do and/or achieve. I enjoyed this book so much and read it in one sitting. I have passed along to others to read and enjoy and they, in turn, have passed on to others. Her life story, thoughts and suggestions will enrich the lives of many people.
