I really wanted to love this book. Unfortunately I was barely able to finish the book. It seemed like it would be funny and twisty at the same time. It was neither. The mystery was so far fetched that it was almost funny, but even that did not make it enjoyable. I didn’t think the plot made any sense and the characters just were not that great.
The writing style was also a little hard to follow. Not using quotation marks makes conversations extremely difficult to follow. The characters were never really introduced until way too late. I had no ideas any important details about the main character until almost halfway through, and even then I don’t feel like it even mattered.
Also, the sex scenes were graphic in a disgusting way more than erotic. They didn’t even really make sense with the plot, so it felt like it just got thrown in there so there was sex in the book.
