Fairly new to J. R. Ward’s work, I was excited to read her new book. Consumed is the story of Danny and Anna who know they are not good for each other, yet can’t stay away. When a devastating fire, causes Anna to change her life, she knows she will be a survivor, with or without her family. Danny carries gilt from that fateful day and no one can be sure he live without his Anne. When an arsonist starts threatening Anne, Danny knows he has to save her because he can’t lose her again.
Consumed is not only about fire, it is about peoples lives, lives that are consumed by everyday events that they face and how they work through them, whether they are the correct choices or not.
