This is the debut book in a new series by this author. The heat that is in this book caused some blushing as I read but it didn't ruin the overall story. I got drawn in by the main character, Anne, and her determination to do whatever it is she had to do to make her life the best it could be. I was held hostage to continue turning the pages by both the arson story line as well as the romance that developed with Anne and another main character, Danny, who through the wonderful descriptions sounds like quite the hot firefighter. I gasped at some points and was disappointed at other points with the relationship between Anne and Danny but I am hopeful that there will be some more developed in the next book between them. Since I did enjoy this book, I will probably take a look at reading one of the other series written by this author. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
