An over-whelming, and amazing get to the heart story. CONSUMED, just like the title says, J. R. Ward will consume you with this book. You will feel the guilt! You will feel the anguish! The pain and anger. I know I did. You will want to cry! You will want to cuss right along with these characters. I was pulled in with the first scene.
As the life-line tugged at me, there was no escape from this deep consuming, all-inspiring story. The plot was filled with so much nonstop action and intrigue, and each suspense-filled scene left me wanting more.
As I delved deeper into this fast-paced, heart-touching story, I was compelled to go on, even though each page was tearing at my heart-strings. I was anxiously waiting to see what else was about to occur. Will Anne make it through this all-consuming ordeal? Will someone come to her rescue, or will she be able to fight her way out? She showed great courage and did not seem to be afraid! I felt her disappointment in herself. Not her rescuer. She wanted her rescuer to save himself, not her. She felt too far gone for that. There are so many great scenes throughout this book. I only wrote about this one because it impacted me so much. It was like I was lost in that scene. It pulled me in so hard and fast. But that is what J. R. Ward's writing does to you. Her writing stays with you long after you put the book down. And it was a hard book to put down. Great character build! Scary situations! I don't know what I would have done if I were in any of these situations myself. I loved it! A wonderful five star must read!!
