Okay, this book is definitely a trip and not at all what I expected (not that I expected much of anything at all). Not much of a fan of the narrator but I think that was too be expected and was written to be like that. I mean, the narrator is a guy that got carried away with his travel memoirs and then started writing about stuff he never actually did. Serves him right that he gets caught out and I am glad Guy decided to rectify it by going on a trip to the Arctic floe to see what is true, even if he ends up stranded which ends up being a whole other wild trip. And it was cool to read about the Intuit folklore that was interwoven in the story. You can tell that the author did a lot of research for this book.

This book is not something I probably would have picked up on my own but I am glad I got the chance to read it. Really not a fan of the cover though. But to each their own.
