This book was not my cup of tea. I am sure it would be a hit with a different audience (as I can see from other reviews) but I was not impressed by it at all. First off, the cover is a complete turn off. If I saw this on the shelf, I would pass right by it without even picking it up to read the blurb on the back.

Yes, I know this was written to kinda make fun of the typical white guy that exaggerates his importance and stories of his exploits and then falls flat on his face when his duplicity is revealed but it just seemed kinda boring to me. Guy is the guy that has this happen and I just didn't care for him as character or as a narrator. Good for him that he actually gets off his butt and does go to the Arctic Floe. I wish him well and wish I had not read this book. Though I did like Simeonie. And some of the Intuit mythology. Guy should have been eaten by the polar bear.
