Compass is an irreverent comedy about a modern-day scholar turned arctic explorer. As with most tales of arctic explorers, we can expect that this adventure will go awry, dangerous even, but will always be written about with a tinge of humor. Characters are artfully written and even the most mundane human experience seems relatable with the skillful writing seen in this First Impression.
The only confusing part is the cover. I'm not sure what walruses have to do with this story (other than residing in the arctic), yet the cover features a large one. Still, this is sure to be an interesting read!
