This is an exact book of a narrator that no one could enjoy. He is narcissistic, self-indulgent, an exaggerator and fully aware of it. I'm sure that some people will find that combination enticing, if a not quite enjoyable read. I'm close to believing the most enjoyable part might be our narrator's upcoming demise.
