The writing makes you feel for the characters. You can feel Clytemnestra's frustration as she is forced to watch her sister being beaten. And you can identify with her anger when Cynica picks an opponent she knows can't beat her. So I think the writing will pull you in as you continue to read and get to know the characters better. It does seem like it will be a bloody and violent story. Which is not inherently a bad thing. It is just not my favorite reading material.
