It has been my experience that the quality of Greek myth retellings vary widely. This first look doesn’t even leave Clytemnestra’s young adulthood, but it is enough to make me interested in which type of retelling this will be. The summary compares it to Miller, but I have a feeling it may be more along the lines of Barker, which, from me, is not a compliment. Still, I liked it enough to hope that Clytemnestra surprises me.
