"There is no peace / for a woman with ambition." From the evocative cover art to these opening lines of the poem that introduces Part I to the gripping first passages, Clytemnestra has the feel of a blockbuster waiting to happen. The cover's color scheme is similar enough to that of Circe by Madeline Miller to draw readers of that retelling, but unique enough to entice a wide audience. Because Clytemnestra and her sister Helen are young adults at the opening of the novel, I can also see the latest from Costanza Casati having crossover appeal to a teen audience. I'm looking forward to reading more!
