For hundreds of years Helen of Troy, or more specifically her beauty, has received the lion’s share of the attention. In recent years books have been taking a closer look at her sister Clytemnestra. While both Helen’s and Clytemnestra’s stories are interesting I’ve always been drawn to the Clytemnestra. There are so many nuances about the decisions she makes and the motivation for those decisions that this story can unfold in several directions at once. I look forward to exploring this telling in full.
