First Impression
Heather has done it again an amazing job telling this tragic yet inspiring story involving WWII and concentration/labor camps. Such topics are so difficult to relive let alone capture and I appreciate how Heather focusing on the story/journey.
I particularly love how she overlaps Cilka’s story with Lale and Gita’s from The Tattooist of Auschwitz. She even gives us a wonderful image of how beautiful Gita is. I hope see more descriptive writing like that in this book.
I am entranced once again by Healther’s writing of Cilka’s story. I am eager to find out just how Cilka’s journeys through the labor camps after Auschwitz. I am left wanting to read more!! I am eager to read the entire book when it is release.
