I have only read the sneak peek of this book and it is very good so far. I hesitate to purchase the book and continue reading becuase I know it is going to be difficult at times. The pain and suffering that the people (not just Cilka) have and will go through is heartwrentching and traumatic. I do love a book that hits me in the gut, but I am usually reading fiction. This book is also "fiction", but historical fiction, based on a real person and real events. This one will be touch to read, but I feel that I have to continue. I expect that this book will offer as much empowerment and triumph as it does suffering and tradegy. Already in the first few pages, I have fallen in love with Cilka and am rooting for her journey to have a safe and happy ending.
