Historical fiction novels are one of my favorite genres. Reading about what these people went through in concentration camps, how they survived such cruelties, and how they persevered is absolutely amazing to me. This book sounds like it will be all that and more. I don't think I have read a book where one of the survivors of the concentration camp was then punished once they were freed. I really like that it has a different twist than a normal WWII historical fiction read. I already feel like this will be a heartbreaking read but that is what makes for a good book. From what I read the main character Cilka seems like a strong woman and I always appreciate a book with a strong female character.
