Cilka's Journey is a heartwarming, edge of your seat novel. I constantly found myself worrying about her, hoping she would finally receive everything she deserved. I can only imagine what people really had to go through during World War 2. Between the Concentration Camps and Gulags. Trials and man hunts. Cilka is a strong feminine role model with much to offer the world and its readers. The characters slowly form into vivid images and carry personalities of anyone you would find on the street. Every aspect of the book can be related to something or someone. I find a lot of my own mentality equal to that of Cilka's. In short, I would highly recommend this book to anyone with any interest.
