To follow this extraordinary hero’s story after surviving Auschwitz, truly humbles you. Cilka not only tries to save herself, she also tries to help others as much as possible. Time and time again, she puts her life on the line. This book shows Cilka’s courage and the fire that burned inside her to live and help others to also survive. Cilka goes through what no person can possibly imagine. I’m not sure I could survive what she went through, every trial and tribulation. What a beautiful way to remember this brave woman. I highly suggest reading The Tattooist of Auschwitz before reading this book. Cilka’s Journey was the perfect follow up to the first book. Go read this book as soon as you can!
