Heather Morris has out done herself again. While I loved The Tattooist of Auschwitz, Cilka's Journey might be my favorite.
In this heart breaking story, Cilka is just 16 years old and is forced into Auschwitz-Birkenau Concentration Camp. After being released she is then charged with several crimes and sent to Siberian prison camp where she finds comfort in a female doctor. She is put to work helping and tending to the sick.
While Cilka makes the best of the most horrific situation she could find herself in you can't help but cheer her on and hope for her safe release.
The writing is incredible and pulls you in from the first page. This is a must read for everyone. I expect more wonderful things from Heather very soon.
