The First Look tells me just enough of Cilka's story that I know I want to read more. There are so many stories of tragedy and redemption from the WWII era, and this one has grabbed me. A young girl, taken to a concentration camp, who thinks that finally, freedom is just a step or two away. But she finds herself imprisoned yet again, for doing what she had to in order to survive the concentration camp. I want to know how Cilka's story unfolds.
