Heartbreaking yet Captivating
Just reading this small section has my heart aching for Cilka. The writing is spare but creates such a vivid image of the deprivation, hopelessness and fear. Death camp stories are always difficult to read but you sense that in this one Cilka will prove to be a survivor and you want to know her story.
