I have never read anything by Heather Morris before this. While this is a work of fiction I was immediately drawn into the story believing it was a true account of a young woman’s journey. As I was reading this excerpt, I wanted to know more about her journey, both before the Auschwitz Concentration Camp as well as her time there. She appears to be an intelligent woman as she picks up foreign languages quickly. She displayed empathy for her sister and for those she meets along her difficult journey.
