This tale is heartbreaking! I hate that this is what humans have done to one another. But Cilka's story needs to be told; people don't realize that many were twice punished. The author does well with the subject matter and sees how heavy it is. With that in mind, the wring is lighter; shorter paragraphs so the reader doesn't get bogged down helping the story flow. This will be a an emotional challenging novel.
