It seems unbelievable that a teenage girl who must have sex with the enemy or face a torturous slide into death will then be punished for trying to survive. This book seems to immediately make the reader feel as if he or she is among the survivors of Hitler's death camps and now facing similar hell in a Russian camp. The book seems well researched from the preview provided, and the cover design is attractive.
