Cecilia Klein, or Cilka, is a prisoner at Burkenau when it is liberated by the Soviet army. Instead of being set free, she is accused and convicted of prostitution and spying for the Nazis. She is sent in a cattle car to Siberia after being sentenced to 15 years of hard labor.
I must read this book! I want to know more about Cilka’s story. I’ve only read the first 20 pages and it’s already been filled with horrifying abuses. I hope she has a happy ending.
