I loved this book from the first page. Haze is quite a character and I enjoyed getting to know her through her newspaper articles. The author does a good job of interweaving the story of Haze with that of the publisher of the paper Haze writes for, Susan McGrath, and her family. Both story lines are interesting and the character development is well done, I felt like a really got to know Haze and Susan's family. My favorite part of the book was watching the growth of Susan's young son, Sam. He has a lot do deal with in this book and I loved reading about his transformation from sulking teenager to caring and thoughtful young man. There is the added bonus of some fun little recipes added to the book that I am looking forwar to trying. I would hightly recommend this one!
