Overall, I really enjoyed this. It is not one of my new all-time favorite books, but it was more impactful than I thought it was going to be. It was heartwarming and touching because it really examined how much impact one person can have on the people around her even if she doesn't know it.

I also liked that the story line was not entirely linear. Part of the book takes place in present day, and some of the book also spans previous decades and relevant events in Haze's life. The audiobook is also particularly enjoyable because the author narrates it herself, so it is read exactly as it was likely intended to be read. And yes, there are recipes in this book, which break up the reading nicely.
