Definitely a book I'd like to finish reading.

The names are a bit much for me, but it's something I could look past. I do like Darling's character - she's strong and driven and dedicated and I love a strong female lead. I also like the way new characters are introduced: their name, a bit about the way they look, and a little bit about their personality or history. Not so much that it's overwhelming; just enough to start picturing the scene and who is part of it.
I like the way it bounces between two primary, conflicting perspectives. Both main characters are compelling, and I like the way they are drawn to one another even if it's unclear why.
So far, a lot of the story has come off as a bit cliche and overdone in fantasy these days, but I see enough potential for a unique story line that I'm definitely interested in continuing this read! The writing style is pretty pleasant - it doesn't feel like the authors are trying too hard, but it still paints a picture.
