This review will contain spoilers for the Shadowhunters Chronicles, because I don't think I can write it without them. I'm glad Cassandra Clare is finally writing a series with a woman of color protagonist, and I absolutely love Cordelia. It's really cool as well to see Cortana with her before it comes to Emma. I'm definitely interested in how the series will play out, since Clare has already released the family trees in the past. I don't really like the romance between James and Cordelia or Matthew and Cordelia, because I think we all know that James and Cordelia love each other most truly. The romance between Lucie and Jessie is tolerable, but not my favorite. I really hope we get more information on Anna and Ariadne, because I really need them to get back together in some way. I also never expected to like Alastair, but here we are. I really hope Thomas is able to forgive him for everything that happened at the Academy, because their relationship was really interesting. I also hope we get more of the sibling relationships between Anna and Christopher, Matthew and Charles, Alastair and Cordelia, Jessie and Grace, and James and Lucie.
