Chain of Gold is yet another great addition to the Shadowhunters series. I like that it is clearly connected to the existing books & gives us some places, things, and people that we can all recognize, while being a completely different story with its own unique characters. I enjoyed getting to know more about those characters, too. The plot meanders sometimes, but in a very interesting way. I never felt like I had to keep track of too many individual threads. I loved the balance of romance & action. I was always excited to see what would happen next - and there was always something interesting happening!
The cover art is just gorgeous, and it suits the story well. I can't wait for the next book!
