This is my first book by this author but i may pick up another. This was a little frustrating because there was a lot of teenage romantic drama in the story which muddied up the magic/fantasy elements which i really enjoyed. I kept thinking that things were being set up for a larger purpose, but I’m not sure if i was wrong or if they’ll be continued in the next book of the series. I also felt like things were just a bit more convoluted than they needed to be. But the underlying story with the demons and ghosts was quite interesting, so i think i would keep reading to see where that part of the story goes. The magical world-building and elements were worth pushing through the romantic parts of the story.
