Cassandra Clare has done it again
I’ve previously read The Infernal Devices, Mortal instruments and the Dark Artifices
but I enjoyed this for the same reason I enjoyed that series: it’s is a character driven
novel with a group of beautiful people in love with each other with almost no plot.
The fantasy world is a backdrop to the angst romance between the characters. And I
loved it! I went into this book with those expectations and I am not disappointed.
The book does remind me of the Shadowhunter CW show which i personally
enjoyed. I highly recommend this to any fellow shadowhunter, both books and show
fan. The beginging does start with a girl remembering meeting a boy (of course). It has this classic/historical feel to it. (which makes sense since it takes place in the late 1800s)
