Let’s be real, I have been a huge fan of this author for about five years now (!!) and so I was expecting to love this book unconditionally. I wasn’t wrong. The characters were unique and easy to fall in love with, plus I loved being back in London. The plot was a little slow for the first one hundred pages or so, but it was time well spent introducing the characters and I flew through this so fast that I barely noticed the slow beginning. I also loved seeing the mysterious elements in the plot and, naturally, the flawless romantic subplots.
Overall, I loved this with all my heart and I’m really sad that I have to wait so long for the next book! Cassandra Clare really inspires me as a writer too and I just hope that one day I can write characters like she can.
