I have absolutely loved this book! Cassandra Clare does not disappoint in the most anticipated book of the year, there was drama, love, betrayal, friendship all the elements you need. As there might not be as much world-building but it certainly does not take away from the book.
Cassie portrays first love and friendships in such an amazing tone. Showcasing real-world problems, and how different types of individuals can handle the same situation in a multitude of ways. The book helps you re-think your friendship, makes you hate some characters, and then love them. I honestly cannot wait for the next book.
Chain of Gold was also very easy to follow, Cassie's writing style always makes me dive right into her books. Even if you have not read her other books, I recommend this one, as it is one of her best works yet. This book is enjoyable for all ages, and groups of people.
