Cassandra Clare’s “Chain of Gold” was my first introduction to her writing, but it was not my first introduction to the Shadowhunter’s world. I’m a huge fan of the movie City of Bones and I tolerated the Shadowhunters series on Freeform. However, there is something in me that kept preventing this book lover from reading Cassandra Clare’s stories. Not any more. So, I’m very grateful to have won an arc of her newest book. Winning this allowed me to dive into this world of fantasy of magic of darkness and find characters that I fell in love with and with a writing style I found inviting. This book may be my literary introduction into this world, but know that I’m going to continue on and be a fan of hopefully all her other books as well.
