I have never read anything by Cassandra Clare, and this excerpt makes me want to run out and read her previous novels. I really like the descriptive language used to set the scenes, as well as the dialogue between the characters; things like their word choice really helps to paint a complete picture of the characters. I really liked everything I read in the excerpt!
