The cover of Chain of Gold is stunning and striking but that's not what stayed with me. The preface before chapter one gripped me, drew me into the world, and kept me intrigued to read through the whole excerpt without pause. The writing was whimsical and mysterious and I immediately felt the atmosphere of the book. I felt the woods and the secrets.
Then naturally I had to keep reading to see if I could FIND OUT those secrets. haha
