Having always been a huge fan of Cassandra Clare, this has been my most anticipated read since the end of The Infernal Devices. I absolutely love this time period, and the incorporation I’d shadowhunters and downworlders makes it even more interesting. Within every one of Cassandra Clare’s books I have always appreciated her ability to choose the perfect quote to begin each part and chapter. The quote just before Part One of this piece felt as though it truly set the mood for the whole story.
Cassandra Clare is capable of building such a lush world and her use of imagery makes me feel as though I am right beside the characters.
I also appreciated within this piece that you don’t need to have read her other books in order to understand the world or magic system.
