Oh my goodness, I'm in love with this so far! While my students have long been fans of Cassandra Clare, this is the first experience I have reading her work. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised to be completely sucked into this and didn't want it to end! What's not to love about a story that promises healthy doses of evil and love, combined with the fantastical elements from vampires to mermaids? This is awesome stuff!
