The setting of this book is seaport, familiar in old south. These settings assist in the main theme of the murder that occurs and the one that occurs years before. The family has years of history with the town's citizens. The first part of the book drags a bit and sort of repeats themes throughout chapters, but the later part of the book starts to tell the main people's history and what happened years before that leads up to the final murder. The web of relationships leads up to the murder and then ties the story together with some surprises at the end. The fact the main character has Lewy Body dementia adds to the story, but his multiple illnesses only bring the theme of the story to some conclusion and ending. This book is entertaining, and the latter half does hold your interest to see how this will all end without further killing or damage to someone's reputation. Enjoyable.
