Thank you BookishFirst for letting me read and review an excerpt of Carolina Moonset thriugh the First Look. The synopsis was quite intriguing and made me interested in seeing what this book was about. Who doesnt want to read a book about hidden famiky secrets possibky being revealed or exposed with a potential murder mystery involved? The author did a good job of capturing the Southern language and setting decently enough. He took on a big task with trying to artfully capture dementia and the impact it has individually as well as on the family as a whole. The pacing was a little slow for my taste but it wasn't a deterrent. The plot is interesting enough to make me curious to read more of what will happen. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone interested in thrillers and, of course, murder mysteries. It has potential to be a good book.
