I've read and enjoyed the mystery series set in Minnesota by this author. South Carolina seems like a very, very different world and I'd be interested to know why the author chose such a dramatically different setting. I enjoyed reading the excerpt and found it to be very well written. However, the situation of having a family member with memory loss strikes too close to home for me so I won't be reading more of the book.
