Cape May is a story about a couple that goes on a honeymoon to Cape May, NJ. The story is told from Henry's point of view. Henry and Effie at first glance seem both nervous and bored with each other. They have somewhat boring sex. One night they see their neighbor's house who belongs to a childhood friend of Effie's, Clara. They stop to say hi and Henry and Effie become somewhat obsessed with Clara and her friend Max and Max's sister, Alma. They get introduced to Clara's friends and are eventually drawn to Clara's wealth and wild parties that are out of control. Henry and Effie eventually find themselves partaking in drinking, sex, and all kinds of trouble.
I found the sex in the story to be kind of repetitive. I do not recommend this book at all.
