Effie and Henry have known each other since they were children in school. Our story begins on their honeymoon. They are visiting an idyllic beach town in the Cape. Effie spent summers here and has such fond memories of staying there. The problem is, the honeymoon is in September and she did not realize the town would be deserted for the season. Henry is delighted to be there as he has never seen the ocean before and he is enjoying getting to know his new wife intimately. Effie, however, is disappointed the stay is not as she thought it would be, with the hustle and bustle of the summertime tourist. After just a few days, she announces she is ready to return home. Henry is disappointed, but accepts her decision. One one the last last nights there, they detect people are occupying the home a few doors down. They decide to introduce themselves and to Effie's dismay, it is an old childhood acquaintance. From the moment Clara opens the door to them, Effie and Henry are put on a new course they had never planned for. All I know is after this trip, their marriage will never be what the planned for......
