I just, I can't. I couldn't get through this one. The characters in here, the couples, were people I just couldn't bring myself to like or relate to. Do I always have have likable characters? No. But I have to understand them. And yes, there are some more steamy scenes in here, which I can be fine with in other books. I even like stories about marriages that are less than perfect, but I felt like I was reading a shallowed-up version of Ian McEwan's On Chesil Beach with characters I didn't really like and it just left an overall bitter taste in my mouth. I can't recommend this one at this point when there are so many other books out there that explore the fragility and confines of marriage in a much more palatable way.
