I enjoyed reading about the setting that the story took place; it is a location I have heard of but have never been to and I felt the author was accurate in the description. The main characters were likable and somewhat naive, which drew me into the story. The "secondary" characters added character to the story and a twist that I did not anticipate beforehand.
The theme of the story kept me interested and anxious to see where the story went. There were times that I found the personalities of the characters hard to accept and was not sure that the relationships would have developed in the real world. Descriptions of events and emotions were authentic and kept me interested.
I was disappointed by the ending. I felt it just "dropped" out and lost my interest.
