Set in the beach town of Cape May New Jersey in the 1950's Effie and Henry a a young couple on their honeymoon. While staying in Effie's uncles house she reconnects with an acquaintance from her childhood on the shore. Effie and Henry and young and naive and are easily sucked into the glamorous and racy world they discover.
It was interesting to see how I'll equipped they were to deal with the situations they were put in that ultimately effected their lives beyond their honeymoon. I liked the story and the writing but i was not a fan of the two main characters. They were young and their behavior and feeling in regards to their actions reflected this. I felt it hard to sympathize with what they were going through and instead felt they deserved the situation they wound up in.
