I really wanted to love this novel. I have been to Cape May and thought the town was so charming and beautiful. I was attracted to the cover and intrigued by the description, which was my primary motivation for wanting to read this one. It’s very well written which I appreciated while it was extremely slow moving. I think that it was just a little too slow moving for my tastes.
I didn’t feel a strong connection to any of the characters and I felt that some of them could have been a bit more developed because I am left still wondering about them. I need some additional info to really relate to them.
I’ll have a hard time recommending this book because I know it’s not for everyone with the sex scenes and infidelity. I’m rating this a solid three stars.
I’d liked to have seen the story start to unfold a lot sooner.
