I am really interested in this book. It has a smooth, readable style that captures well the youthful innocence of Effie and Henry as they begin their honeymoon. It is easy to feel the shy excitement of the two as they explore the Boardwalk of Cape May together, getting caught in the rain, sharing all the thoughts and laughter of new love and life together. Both Effie and Henry are will drawn characters and make me want to know more about them.

Before the end of the first chapter we are introduced to a woman who is as different from Effie and Henry as she could possibly be. Effie knew Clara Strauss a number of years ago--and not all of the memories are good ones! Clara is in Cape May to celebrate the birthday of her brother Richard and their enthusiasm easily captures Effie and Henry even through neither of them have very positive feelings about Clara.

Something is going to happen between these four individuals and I am interested to know what. Since Clara is clearly an "Alpha" type person, she is in control of the social dynamic and it may be hard for Effie and Henry to resist being drawn in to the fast life of Clara's upper class social group.

I would very much enjoy a chance to read this book!
